Wedding Gift Basket

So while shopping for our cousin's wedding, I found the cutest little mini-utensils for baking. I loved them so much, I decided to make a small gift basket for baking for her shower. The 'basket' is a stainless steel mixing bowl. We purchased one of each utensil in different colors of course. Then we topped it off with measuring cups! Super cute and easy wedding gift!

Cadbury Egg Crescent Roll

One of my favorite Easter chocolates is Cadbury Caramel Eggs.  Sometimes, we love these chocolates so much, we buy way too many.  Or maybe we receive a few too many in our Easter baskets.  Either way, the recipe below is a great and delicious way to use up those Cadbury Eggs...maybe even for breakfast!  Chocolate for breakfast is a good plan to me!

Getting a Rabbit Out of Your Garage

Unfortunately this morning I was welcomed by a furry creature as I tried to leave for work. I opened our garage door and noticed a little animal hiding under our toolbox. My first thought was this is a huge rat. I closed our door and began hitting our door to try and scare this animal off. I opened the door back up to be greeted b

Bookmark Favor

For my sister-in-law's baby shower, we had a Storybook theme.  Everyone was asked to bring a storybook instead of a card, and all of the decorations and food were based on some sort of storybook.  When trying to decide a favor, I thought it would be perfect to give everyone a bookmark.  I mean what goes better with a storybook theme than a bookmark to save your place in said storybook.

Easter Bunny Pancakes

I saw a picture of these cute Easter bunny pancakes online a few weeks ago, and I decided to try making them myself! I used our trusty old Bisquick pancake recipe and our pancake pen to make the perfect shapes!

March Beauty Moment

This month, I wanted to focus on ipsy.  I love receiving my ipsy bags every month.  It only costs $10 a month, and you receive a cute makeup bag and 5 beauty products.  At least one of those beauty products is a full size product.

BBQ Meatballs

BBQ Meatballs have turned out to be one of our favorite recipes, but it does take a bit of commitment of your time to make!  My friend at Cupcakes and Commentary actually cooked this for Brad and I one night and shared the recipe from The Pioneer Woman.  My recipe is identical to The Pioneer Woman's except I have converted this recipe to use 2 pounds of meat rather than the 1.5 pounds she uses.  Happy Cooking!

DIY Wedding Reception Programs/Placecards

For our wedding reception, I decided to combine the placecards with a reception program.  I wanted guests to have some sort of outline of the evening's festivities.  I used the same pink cardstock that we used for our Wedding Programs.  I made them so that the size of the program was exactly half of one entire page.  This made cutting the programs really easy.  I had a lot of test ones made before printing the real thing.

Honeymoon Ideas and Costs

It is wedding season so I thought I would do some research on potential honeymoon ideas and costs.  Honeymoon costs can vary greatly.  Today I research three different kinds of honeymoons.  With all three my budget was $3,500.  I used the honeymoon dates of 5/17/15 - 5/23/15.  The prices that I am quoting below were researched mid-February 2015.  There is a great chance that prices have changed slightly.  But this may give you an idea of some honeymoon options at a reasonable cost.
