Brad's aunt suggested this recipe to us. She found it online, and it is super easy and really good. We have a crock pot that will go into "keep warm" mode which allows us to cook this on work days as well! Enjoy!
For my best friend's baby shower, I decided to make her a corsage rather than go buy a generic flower one. A ribbon corsage is actually really easy to make and it makes is a little more special since it is something they can keep forever since it won't die like a flower one.
Back in November, we noticed our fiberglass shower had a crack in the floor. To be honest, there is really no telling how long this crack had been there. It was very tiny, but since our shower was one piece, we were going to have to replace the entire thing. And doing a temporary fix would not really suffice since it was in the floor. Had it been on the wall, a temporary fix may have worked. We called around and found someone that have us what we felt like was reasonable quotes. We knew that we did not want to replace the shower ourselves. We had the option to either replace the shower with another fiberglass stall or for a little bit more we could have a tiled shower. We opted for the tiled shower. It was finally replaced in the middle of January. See below for the before and after pictures.
So I will let you know now, this is not a positive review of Liberty Tree Tavern. There are positive parts, but overall, I would not eat here again. I won't say "never" because there is always the off chance we go with people that may want to eat there...many years down the road. BUT, if I have a choice or vote in the matter, we will not be going back. Check out our experience below.
At my best friend's baby shower, she agreed to play Baby Shower Bingo. She isn't big on games, but this was one she approved of. I designed the bingo cards myself so that it could match the theme. I printed two bingo cards per sheet. I bought white card stock from Hobby Lobby to print the cards on. I used a paper cutter to cut the sheet in half.
My family hosted a sweet baby shower for Miss Melody back in March. Check out the Princess Themed pictures below!
My best friend is also having a baby girl. She is due only 10 days after me. Our husbands are convinced we planned this, but we really didn't. Anyhow, my mom and I planned her an elephant themed baby shower. Her nursery colors are going to actually be yellow and gray, but we opted for pink and gray for the shower since she is having a girl. She is going to be using elephants in her nursery as well. There will be future posts regarding the crafts I did for the baby shower, but below is an overview!
Back in February, Brad's side of the family hosted a wonderful baby shower for Miss Melody. Everything was just adorable. Check it out below!
So my mom and I knew we would not have enough dining credits for EVERY meal. So we decided we would either pay out of pocket for a meal that didn't take the dining plan or for breakfast. Well we only ate breakfast one morning, so we decided to try The Brown Derby Lounge. As I mentioned in a previous review, The Brown Derby itself is not worth the two credits for the table service dining plan usage. However, if you want to try some of the foods The Brown Derby has to offer, such as the Cobb Salad, stop by the Lounge. It is first come first service seating. We arrived at 12:30, and there was plenty of seats available.
So I have a previous post were I discussed my meals at Wolfgang Puck Express. I wanted to update you with some of the meals I had on my most recent trip in January 2016. See below!
I have a previous post about my experience at Be Our Guest for breakfast with my husband. Today I wanted to share another meal I had there in January 2016.
So for lunch on our last day, we decided to use a quick service credit. We were at Hollywood Studios that morning, so we were torn if we should just eat there, or go try something at Epcot. Well, we opted for Mexican at Epcot. Mexican was about the only type of food we had not tried since we were at Disney World. My mom had tried La Cantina de San Angel before, but I had not.
On my last trip to Disney World, my mom and I had dinner at Coral Reef at EPCOT. My review of our experience and the food is below.
We dined at Cape May Café our first day at Disney World for my 30th birthday trip. I will be completely up front and tell you I did not get enough pictures. I really wish I had. However, you can find plenty of pictures of this amazing eatery online. But let me give you my review (in case you can't tell I like it already!).
As usual, my mom and I planned to go to Disney World for my birthday. I was turning the big 3-0. Unknowing to my mom, my husband and I were trying to get pregnant, so I found ways to discourage our usual cruise/Disney combo. So we decided we would just do 3 or 4 days at Disney World and fly. I found out I was pregnant September 23rd, but Brad and I wanted to wait and tell our parents after our first doctor's appointment. So I didn't tell mom until October 21st. I put off booking Disney to make sure she would be ok going with me while I was four months pregnant! I hated for her to not enjoy herself and ride everything unless she was truly ok with that. Of course she was good with it, so the planning began!
So Mickey Waffles are a big thing for Brittany. It's the first thing she always wants to eat when we get to Disney World.
So today's focus is solely the nursery. We accomplished a lot over the last week. We spent the end of last week cleaning out the rest of the nursery. Then this weekend we painted the nursery a light gray. Our goal this week is to clean up all the paint supplies, clean the carpets, and put together the crib!
My husband and I had a pregnancy scare when I was 18 weeks along. We felt that there was not enough information on the internet to help comfort and guide us during that difficult time. I decided to share my story. This isn't my typical crafty, fun blog post. It is a raw, emotional post about our experience. I hope you are not reading this because you are going through the same thing, but if you are, I hope that this provides you with some hope and knowledge about our story.
