While at Disney in February, one of the places I wanted to try was Rosie’s All-American Cafe at Hollywood Studios. They had a fried green tomato sandwich that sounded amazing. It had sounded similar to the one served at The Plaza Restaurant. I wasn’t sure if we would still be at Hollywood Studios by lunch but thankfully we were. Let me share our experience below!
Mom and I make an annual trip to Disney World nearly every year for my birthday. We started this when I got out of college. It usually would just be a day or two at Disney and we would tack on a cruise. But since I had Melody, I haven’t wanted to do a cruise yet. So we just do Disney. This year, January was just not ideal. So we postponed until March.
Brad is a sugar cookie lover in our house, but I have cut back on making them since he is diabetic. Well I still make them for special occasions, and currently I am making them to test icing them for Melody’s third birthday coming up. Well this recipe below is my favorite for making cut-out cookies. This website also has an icing recipe, but I will include that later once I perfect mine, ha!
So I am really kicking myself in the butt for not trying Rose and Crown sooner. We have had many reservations here in the past, and we have always cancelled them for one reason or another. Well on our trip in February 2019, we finally tried it. And OMG and I am still drooling over it! Let me share with you how simple yet amazing this meal is.
So we have finally come to the point that we had to convert Melody’s crib to a toddler bed. She was starting to put her legs over the crib in an effort to climb out. She never succeeded at climbing out thankfully. And we waited until after our Disney trip in February because we didn’t want her to refuse to sleep in a pack and play while there.
So back in September, I was lucky enough to attend the Toy Story Land AP Event with my mom and Melody. And since Toy Story Land was so new, it is unlikely we would have visited had it not been for this free event. Well I really wanted Brad to get to experience Toy Story Land, but it is still crazy crowded, and I was unsure of how we were going to accomplish this on our trip back in February. Well then Disney announced Early Morning Magic at Toy Story Land. Unfortunately it isn’t free, but it is only $79 per adult. It gets you prime access to all three rides plus characters and breakfast from 7:30 am (or even 7 am if you opt to eat breakfast first) until park opening. Check out our experience below.

Brad’s mom made us these green beans many months ago. They were really, really good. So good, Brad requested these instead of green bean casserole for Christmas dinner! Well they are super easy to make and super tasty. She sent me the recipe, and now I am sharing it with you! Enjoy!
I painted Melody’s nails for the first time back before Christmas. Since then, she has wanted her nails constantly painted. Whenever one nail is missing paint, she comes to me asking for me to repaint them. It is super cute. Here is one of our last encounters…
As I have mentioned before, we always do a very low key Valentine’s Day. We never buy each other crazy expensive gifts or go to fancy restaurants. We always cook in (usually lasagna), and we have even been known to set a limit of $5 for gifts, ha!
So I have to be honest, finding new healthy recipes are getting harder and harder. I need food to stay full longer and not feel hungry an hour later. Well I found this recipe and it sounded amazing. I love Asian food, but it is hard to find healthy food because most of what I love is fried. This sounded perfect. BUT I must admit, it doesn’t have enough flavor to me. I may try it again, but use something other than orange juice. We will see.
After our kitchen renovation this spring/summer, we have been in need of new barstools. We had to get rid of our old ones because now we have a counter height bar, and those were too tall. We have been using counter height barstools from our bathroom, but we only have two and they are uncomfortable. Melody has really been wanting to eat at the bar with us, so we have been having to us a dining room chair which isn’t ideal.
Well we just got back from a trip to Disney World. Imagine that? Or at least I feel like that is what most people say, ha! I will say, this was our last family trip we have planned to Disney for awhile. Melody turns 3 in May, and she will have to pay after that. And we want to take a few bigger trips to other places. Now in a year, we will see if that statement holds true, ha. This trip is just the three of us. And it is the first trip we aren’t having to make time to visit with anyone else, so our break day was actually a break day at our resort. It was weird.
