This year we decided to go low key for our anniversary. We have multiple family vacations coming up, so we didn’t to spent a whole lot of unnecessary money. It was still special and sweet though!

I wanted to do a fun craft for our mothers for this Mother’s Day. So I decided to have her fill out a questionnaire. I left a blank copy at the bottom for your use if you would like!
I wanted to do something special for all of the kids in Melody’s preschool class since it is her very last year. After some research, I decided to give each of the kids some chalk. Check it out below.
Something we have struggled with in both of our homes is our lack of attic space. More specifically our lack of storage space. And while we actually have tons of attic space in our current house, it is not super or easily accessible. One space that was extremely accessible was a space off of Brad’s office. There was a lot of space, but it just wasn’t utilized very well. There were no floors, and it would get really, really hot in there. So after some talk with my dad, we decided to convert that space into a storage closet that has heating and cooling. It took us almost four months, but we now have a great space to store those things we do not want to get too cold or too hot.
I found this recipe on the Noom app. It was spicy (obviously), but it was really good. I am happy to add another shrimp recipe to our arsenal.
So the famous Tik Tok wraps were not used making eggs, but I decided to try it that way. You can use whatever ingredients you really like, but I will list what I used.
Projects are never ending in our house. We literally finish one thing to start another. Most of the time we are planning our next project while working on the current one. Well our most recent completed project was Melody’s bathroom. It was actually our quickest and easiest project. It didn’t require a whole lot of work, so that helped. And we let Melody get super involved which she loved. It also ended up being the most Melody bathroom there is, ha.
I found this recipe on the Home Chef website, and I tweaked it to work with our diet and preference. See my version below.
Last year we were unable to attend the Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo due to COVID. They still held it, but we were not comfortable going. Thankfully they let us use our weekend passes from last year this year. I didn't get a huge amount of pictures. But I did want to share what I did take below.
As Brad likes to sometimes say, “I was influenced”, ha. I have seen much talk about the Billie razors all over social media. I have contemplated them for a while. I love the idea of having blades arrive every so often as a reminder to change my blade. I also hate shaving, and finding a place for my razor away from my 4 year old, and shaving. Like really hate shaving, ha. Anyways, I finally decided to give it a try. It is only $9 with free shipping. So my thought was I could cancel my future blades if I hated it.
I was hoping this was the year Melody decided to smile in her dance pictures. I mean she finally smiled in her school picture. Well she tried. I just don’t think she is as comfortable with the dance photographer as the school one. But she tried. And the pictures did turn out cute.
I found this recipe on Noom, and we really enjoyed it. If you want to find a healthier fry, this is definitely it. And it is green on Noom!
March was busy! It marked one year since the COVID Pandemic started, so there were a lot of mixed emotions during this month. But we kept busy, traveled, and had fun!
So we decided to keep Easter low key this year. I also scheduled my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine the day before, so we couldn’t travel. My dad worked as well. So we ended up visiting my parents after my vaccine appointment, and we spent Easter at home. Emily, Justin, and the kids came over that evening for dinner and an egg hunt. Low key and relaxing. I even got a nap in on Easter Day!
I totally meant to share these pictures yesterday, but life has happened, and I have been busy. I am hoping to get back to blogging more though! So we had these pictures taken by my aunt a few weeks ago. It took Melody a bit to warm up, but she did so well in the end!
I made an Easter Storage Basket for all of my holiday things just like I did for Valentine’s Day! I included Easter plates, Easter napkins, and Easter cupcake liners. I used the same pink bread basket.
I wanted to share with you some of the Easter baskets I made this year. I didn’t try and use another item for a basket like I have in years past. I went traditional yet practical. I am also sharing some Easter egg fillers at the end of the post!
So it has been a week since I lasted posted. We had Spring Break last week, and I have been getting back in to routines this week. So now I finally have time to tell you all about our Spring Break trip to Opryland. It was semi last minute. So Brad was supposed to be out of town that week. So Emily and I planned to go somewhere for a few days during Spring Break with the kids. Well Brad’s trip was cancelled so he and Emily’s husband, Justin, tagged along. We opted to go to Opryland to be an easier drive, and there was plenty of availability the couple of days before when I booked it.
